The Grand Summer Square Festival Returns!
On May 30, the streets around Ingmar Bergman’s Street and Nybrogatan will once again transform into a vibrant meeting place as Torgfesten returns for its third consecutive year. For Chez Jolie, the day has become more than an event—it is the natural beginning of summer and a cherished tradition, celebrated together with neighbors Bâtard, Frippe, Teatergrillen, and Noppe.
“Torgfesten is something we truly look forward to. It’s when we, together with our neighbors, open up and invite the entire city to a day filled with flavors, music, and energy. Everything points to it becoming the best party of the year,” says Mikael Einarsson of Chez Jolie.
At Chez Jolie, the wood-fired grill takes center stage. Here, French summer dishes are prepared with rustic elegance—not least a newly reimagined tarte flambée, created במיוחד for the occasion. Around the square, a culinary world unfolds, where Spanish, Asian, and Swedish influences come together in a dynamic and lively setting.
It is this diversity that makes Torgfesten truly unique. From French delicacies and seafood to grilled skewers, paella, and classic dishes, each restaurant brings its own expression—yet together they create an experience greater than the sum of its parts.
Throughout the day, the square is filled with music from both DJs and live bands, creating an atmosphere that is at once vibrant and relaxed. Guests move freely between tables, meet over a glass, and let the day gently stretch into the evening.
For Chez Jolie, Torgfesten is about more than food and drink. It is a celebration of the neighborhood, of collaboration between restaurants, and of that special feeling that arises when people come together.
On May 30, from 12:00 to 20:00, everyone is welcome to experience how one of Stockholm’s most charming squares comes to life and how summer truly begins.
