Last year, Chez Jolie, the wine bar (B\u00e2tard), Teatergrillen, and Frippe joined forces to host an unforgettable square festival at Ingmar Bergman’s Place \u2014 a sunny, laughter-filled day right at the intersection of Ingmar Bergmans Gata and Nybrogatan. The event was a huge success, and this year, the celebration is growing. On May 31, the festivities return \u2014 now joined by neighbor Noppe.<\/p>\n
\u201cExpectations are high for this year\u2019s square festival! Last year\u2019s edition turned into a true city celebration \u2014 sunshine, music, laughter, and chilled drinks. Being able to create this together with our dear neighbors and turn it into a recurring tradition feels fantastic.”<\/em> Now, five restaurants are coming together once again to invite the entire city to a day full of life and enjoyment. The giant paella pan, The Beeters live on stage, and the popular raffle with great prizes are all making a much-anticipated comeback. But this year\u2019s festival also introduces some exciting new additions.<\/p>\n A brand-new highlight is Nybrogatan\u2019s first-ever Waiters\u2019 Race \u2014 a fast-paced competition where 8\u201312 waiters will balance food and drinks on trays through an obstacle-filled course. The race will be hosted by the award-winning restaurateur Per Nordlind, with humorous commentary provided by comedians Nisse Hallberg and Albin Olsson.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is pure, sparkling energy! We love planning, creating, and sharing experiences with our guests. The Waiters\u2019 Race is a tribute to the classic \u2018La Course des Caf\u00e9s,\u2019 but with a loving Nybrogatan twist.”<\/em> Throughout the day, the square will be filled with the sounds of DJs and live bands, the aromas from the outdoor grill, and the flavors of freshly made paella. Cold drinks will be served in clinking glasses amidst conversations and laughter \u2014 creating an inviting scene with beautifully set tables under the open sky.<\/p>\n The five restaurants \u2014 all located around the square\u2019s four corners \u2014 want to show how collaboration, community spirit, and a shared love of good food and drink can transform a small square into something magical. A vibrant, pulsating space where both Stockholmers and visitors can experience something truly special.<\/p>\n
