The initiative comes from chefs Markus Ekman and Pontus Frithiof, who aim to highlight Sweden\u2019s traditional food culture and its significance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both chefs have a deep connection to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">husmanskost<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a love that was nurtured during their early years in the kitchen. They worked side by side with some of Sweden\u2019s most renowned chefs, including Leif Mannerstr\u00f6m, \u00d6rjan Klein, and Erik Lallerstedt, gaining extensive knowledge of Sweden\u2019s culinary heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Husmanskostens Dag<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, they want to shine a spotlight on classic dishes and pass the tradition on to new generations. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a tribute to the flavors we grew up with and a reminder that great cooking is often about simplicity and quality,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> say the initiators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">February 26 will be a perfect occasion to enjoy dishes like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">raggmunk<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (potato pancakes), meatballs, herring, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pytt i panna<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Swedish hash) \u2013 and perhaps discover new favorites within Swedish comfort food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Joining Markus and Pontus in this initiative is our own restaurateur, Mikael Einarsson.
